Candid, relaxed wedding and elopement photography across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
You’re in the right place if…
• You feel awkward in photos
• You’re planning a wedding that doesn’t fit the “traditional” mould
• You’re queer, alternative, nerdy, emo, goth, or delightfully weird
• You want real moments instead of staged poses
• You want a photographer who won’t make your day feel like a photoshoot
Cool. We’ll probably get along great.
“From the moment we met her, she made the entire experience feel inclusive, fun, and completely stress-free. I usually feel incredibly awkward in front of a camera, but Jill has a rare gift for putting her clients at ease and bringing out their genuine selves.” - Caroline
Hi, I’m Jill.
Pink-haired photographer.
Wise elder emo.
Professional third wheel.
I’m a Brisbane wedding and elopement photographer who specialises in candid storytelling and editorial-style portraits.
Most of my couples are alternative, queer, awkward, or a bit weird.
Perfect. Those are my people.
My approach is simple:
I document your wedding as it naturally unfolds, without turning the day into a photoshoot.
You get real moments and a collection of iconic portraits.
Best of both worlds.
Photography that won’t
overwhelm you
A lot of my couples are neurodivergent, anxious, or just uncomfortable in front of cameras.
So my approach is calm, flexible, and very low pressure.
You can expect:
• clear communication
• simple guidance during portraits
• no forced posing
• space to breathe when things feel overwhelming
• zero judgement
You don’t need to perform or pretend to be confident.
You just need to show up and exist.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to be “good at photos”.
You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect wedding.
My job is to guide you just enough that you feel comfortable, while leaving plenty of room for the real moments to happen.
The result?
Photos that actually look like your relationship, not a styled shoot.
On the Blog
I acknowledge the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples, the custodians of this ancient, resilient, and breathtaking country. I recognise that their land was never ceded, and I honour the wisdom and custodianship of the elders, both past and present, as well as the emerging leaders who carry the spirit of this land into the future. With each step, I honour the spirits of the land, the waters, and the skies that have watched over this place for countless generations. May we always walk in harmony, guided by the wisdom of those who have cared for this land for time immemorial.
